The pianist plays a few bars of “Here Comes the Bride.” But the tune soon morphs into Chopin’s Funeral March.
The woman picks up a skull and studies it.
Woman To think one day I’ll look like this.
No hair. How will I flirt?
No lips for a deceitful kiss.
No tongue to dish the dirt.
No eyes to flash a cheeky smile.
No lashes I can flaunt.
There’s just one compensation. I’ll

"This is one of the cleverest rhyme sequences I have seen for a long time and would be very fun performed. It meets the theme in a rather macabre way. I tend not to be a huge fan of rhyming poems, but I was charmed by this one. The humour and perfect rhythm and clever cadence lift it up to another level and I am very sure it will be wonderful performed and greatly enjoyed by the audience." - Karlo Mila, adjudicator
